چکیده

ABSTRACT Many watermarking algorithms have been proposed and studied for their robustness and other properties. But, there has been little e ort is analyzing these algorithms for their vulnerability against dete tion by an adversary. As a general philosophy for robust watermarking the host signal and the watermarked signal are well separated in a statisti al distan e sense. This very nature an be exploited by an adversary to easily dete t the watermark and perhaps remove it. We argue that the ability of a watermark to avoid dete tion by an adversary is a key fa tor that needs great attention. In this paper, we propose a method for watermark analysis based on a distributed dete tion framework that an be used by an adversary. The proposed framework an be used by the adversary to study signals for the presen e/absen e of watermarks. We hoose a parti ular spatial domain image watermarking algorithm and explain how the proposed framework an be applied to dete t the watermark with very little knowledge about the watermark insertion pro edure. The false alarm probability an be optimally traded-o with the probability of dete tion using the re eiver operating hara teristi fun tion.

Proposing an effective approach for Network security and multimedia documents classically using encryption and watermarking

Local binary pattern (LBP) operators, which measure the local contrast within a pixel's neighborhood, successfully applied to texture analysis, visual inspection, and image retrieval. In this paper, we recommend a semi blind and informed watermarking approach. The watermark has been built from the original image using Weber Law. The approach aims is to present a high robustness and imperceptibi...

Research of Blind Watermark Detection Algorithm Based on Generalized Gaussian Distribution

In digital management, multimedia content and data can easily be used in an illegal way-being copied, modified and distributed again. Copyright protection, intellectual and material rights protection for authors, owners, buyers, distributors and the authenticity of content are crucial factors in solving an urgent and real problem. In such scenario, digital watermark techniques are emerging as a...

Joint detection-estimation games for sensitivity analysis attacks

Sensitivity analysis attacks aim at estimating a watermark from multiple observations of the detector’s output. Subsequently, the attacker removes the estimated watermark from the watermarked signal. In order to measure the vulnerability of a detector against such attacks, we evaluate the fundamental performance limits for the attacker’s estimation problem. The inverse of the Fisher information...

A new locally optimum watermark detection using vector-based hidden Markov model in wavelet domain

Watermark detection is a way of verifying the existence of a watermark in a watermarking scheme used for copyright protection of digital data. Statistical modeling of wavelet subband coefficients has been extensively used in watermark detection. The effectiveness of a watermarking scheme depends directly on how the wavelet coefficients are modeled. It is known that the vector-based hidden Marko...

On sequential watermark detection

This paper introduces a new watermark detection paradigm based on sequential detection. It is shown that this framework leads to significantly faster watermark detection compared to more commonly used fixed sample size detectors. Fundamental issues such as joint optimization of watermark encoding and detection are addressed within this framework. Theoretical results are validated through experi...
